Hello and welcome to the first post on this Quant Jobs blog. To provide a little background, my name is Mark Tattersall and I am a recruiter at Smith Hanley Associates, a recruitment company in that has worked in the quantitative business sciences for the past 25 years. I work in a team that specializes in the the placement of quantitative / statistical professionals in areas such as advanced market research analytics, marketing science, forecasting, pricing, market-mix modeling, SAS programming etc.

Our team wanted to try a new way of staying in touch with candidates in this market space. We feel that we can offer a valuable and interesting perspective on the market place whether you are looking for a new position at the moment or not. The business model of Smith Hanley is long term relationships. This is a narrow field of business (but growing all the time!) and we believe it to be beneficial both to us as the recruiter and to you as the candidate or possible client to keep in touch with people in the same area. As we are all aware, it is often not what you know but who you know!
